iWFCam User Manual
Complete step-by-step guide for setting up and using your iWFCam WiFi camera app. From initial installation to advanced features and troubleshooting.
1. Installation & Setup
Download iWFCam App
For iOS:
- Open App Store on your iPhone or iPad
- Search for "iWFCam"
- Tap "Get" to download and install
- Launch the app from your home screen
For Android:
- Open Google Play Store on your device
- Search for "iWFCam"
- Tap "Install" to download and install
- Open the app from your app drawer
System Requirements
- iOS 12.0 or later (iPhone/iPad)
- Android 5.0 or later
- Stable internet connection (WiFi or cellular data)
- 2.4GHz WiFi network for camera connection
2. Camera Configuration
Initial Camera Setup
Power On Your Camera
Connect your WiFi camera to a power source using the provided adapter. Wait for the power LED to turn solid green or blue.
Reset Camera (if needed)
If this is your first setup or you're having connection issues, press and hold the reset button for 10 seconds until the LED blinks rapidly.
Position Your Camera
Place the camera within 10 feet of your WiFi router during initial setup. Ensure the camera has a clear view of the area you want to monitor.
Important
Most WiFi cameras only support 2.4GHz networks. Ensure your router broadcasts a 2.4GHz network and that your phone is connected to the same network during setup.
3. WiFi Connection Setup
Connect Camera to WiFi
Open iWFCam App
Launch the iWFCam app on your smartphone or tablet.
Tap "Add Camera"
On the main screen, tap the "+" button or "Add Camera" option to start the setup process.
Select WiFi Network
Choose your 2.4GHz WiFi network from the list and enter your WiFi password when prompted.
Connect to Camera's Hotspot
The app will prompt you to connect to the camera's temporary WiFi hotspot (usually named after the camera model). Go to your device's WiFi settings and connect to this network.
Complete Setup
Return to the iWFCam app and wait for the setup to complete. The camera will connect to your WiFi network and appear in your camera list.
Tip
If setup fails, ensure your phone stays connected to the camera's hotspot throughout the entire process. Do not switch back to your home WiFi until the app confirms setup is complete.
4. App Features & Usage
Live View
- Tap on your camera from the main screen to view live video
- Use pinch gestures to zoom in and out
- Tap the screen to focus on specific areas
- Rotate your device for full-screen viewing
Photo & Video Capture
- Tap the camera icon to take a photo
- Tap and hold the video icon to start recording
- Release to stop recording
- All media is automatically saved to your device's gallery
Camera Settings
- Access settings by tapping the gear icon on the live view screen
- Adjust video quality (720p, 1080p)
- Enable/disable night vision mode
- Set up motion detection alerts
- Configure recording schedules
5. Remote Access & Monitoring
Accessing Your Camera Remotely
From Any Location:
- Open iWFCam app on your smartphone
- Ensure you have an internet connection (WiFi or cellular data)
- Your camera will appear in the camera list if it's online
- Tap on the camera to start live viewing
Multiple Device Access:
- Install iWFCam on multiple devices
- Use the same account credentials to log in
- All your cameras will be available on each device
Motion Detection Alerts
- Enable motion detection in camera settings
- Set sensitivity levels (low, medium, high)
- Receive push notifications when motion is detected
- Automatically record video clips when motion occurs
6. Storage & Media Management
Viewing Recorded Media
- Tap the "Gallery" or "Recordings" tab in the app
- Browse photos and videos by date
- Tap on any media to view in full screen
- Use the share button to send media to others

Local Storage:
- Photos and videos are saved to your device's storage
- Access through your device's photo gallery
- No cloud storage fees

7. Troubleshooting Common Issues
Camera Shows Offline
- Check if the camera is powered on and LED is lit
- Verify the camera is connected to WiFi (check router admin panel)
- Move the camera closer to your WiFi router
- Restart the camera by unplugging and reconnecting power
- Check if your internet connection is working
Setup Fails During WiFi Connection
- Ensure you're using a 2.4GHz WiFi network (not 5GHz)
- Check that your WiFi password is correct
- Make sure your phone stays connected to the camera's hotspot
- Try resetting the camera and starting setup again
- Move the camera closer to the router during setup
Poor Video Quality or Lag
- Check your internet connection speed
